"Thanks for a wonderful year, Merry Christmas"
Hello Everybody!
It's that time of year again! Time for hot chocolate and WHITE
CHRISTMAS, mistletoe and holly, Santa and his elves. Feeling all warm and fuzzy
yet? Well, it's also time for long crowded lines, bumper to bumper traffic and no
parking spaces to be found at the mall...Ha! I love this time of year!!! We are
especially excited and thankful, because we recently found out that Chanler, our 5 year old, is
going to be a big sister! Chanler, is so excited, that she already has a name picked
out for the new baby...Mossy. Now, I have no idea where she came up with
this...uh, name, but she said that it would work for a boy or a girl. I guess so, if you're a
Largemouth Bass or a Snapping Turtle or something...I'm not so sure that we will be
naming he or she Mossy, but we are excited to say the least.
I'm amazed and overwhelmed at what God has done in the inaugural year of
Channing Eleton Ministries. Not only has God performed miracles in my own home, we have
witnessed Him work through lives as He has brought healing, deliverance and salvation. Once
again, He has reaffirmed that He is still on the Throne and He is still working in lives today.
Friend, if there's one thing I know, it's this right here: The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the
same God we serve today. The same God that spoke face to face with Moses, is still speaking to
hearts and lives today. Isn't that an awesome thought? Just this year, I've had so many close
friends that have weathered some storms. Some of those friends are still right in the middle of a
downpour. If there is breath in your body, you are in one of three places: About to enter a storm;
you're right in the middle of one; or just coming out of the wind and rain as the sun pierces through
the clouds. Hold on a little longer!
I was going through some old pictures my mom and dad have, and I found some fun things I
wanted to share with you. You'll have a good laugh as you see me wearing the dreaded "Sailor
Suit" that my mom so proudly dressed us up in. Oh, and if that's not enough, I found one of those
classic Olan Mills "Picture in a Picture" shots. I even found one for my brother and bassist,
Cameron. Take note of how serious Cameron looks in his! Click here:

Before I go, I want to say a very special thank you to Cameron and our friend and drummer Erik
Hurt. These guys make playing music so much more fun. Not only are they great musicians, but
they are Godly men of character and integrity. Another guy I want to thank is another dear friend,
Johnny Crider. Johnny travels with us and helps out in so many areas. From the product table to
helping set-up and tear down, Johnny is always a tremendous help. He's also a walking testimony
of God's goodness and Grace. Thank you mom and dad for your prayers and support. Finally, I
definitely could not do what I do without her love, support, encouragement and prayers of my
beautiful wife Christina.
I also need to thank some very important people that were key players in getting this new ministry
off the ground...Steve Hurst, Shane Bailey, The Dwight Wilson Family, Pratt & Marcia Hughes,
Michael Redwine, Ron Sowder, Jesse Sisk, Trey Starnes, Dale Brewer, David Cummings, Barry Gentry, Phillips
Gentry, Denny & Margaret Smith, Jay Boyd & Family, Jay McCarter, Scott Kiser, David Simmons,
Gene Marie, Roger & Cherie Mullins, Doris Bates, Henry Haney & Family, Dr. Ron McKinney, Greg
Peters, Barry Peters, Derek Overton, John Williams, Barry & Sandy Peters, Parkview Baptist, Gary
Tomberlin, Hal & Grace Thompson, Ray & Jesse Wiseman, Don Austin, Bailey Smith, Buddy &
Kerri Mullins, Paul Lancaster, Erik & Kari Hurt, Joyce Reid, Earl & Janice Eleton. THANK YOU!
Have a very Merry Christmas from the Channing Eleton Family, (Channing, Christina, Chanler & Uh,
Little Mossy...) ha!
