"January, February & March"
Hello everyone,
Channing Eleton here. I don't even know where to begin. It's been about three months since
you heard from us last. So let me just jump in and share a couple of things with you!
Many of you know that Christina and I are expecting our second child. Yes, we know what we
are having. We are having another little girl. I am so very, very happy. I am, however, starting to feel
a little out numbered. Oh well, I'm loving it! We've even picked out a name for little girl number two...I
mentioned in the last newsletter that 2008 was all about faith. Our faith and trust in God. In every
area of the life of my family, God used many different circumstances to really deepen our roots of
trust in Him. He really stretched our faith in so many areas. It was very apparent that the middle
name of our new baby, had to be Faith. And, in keeping in the tradition of "CH's", we're naming her
Cheyenne Faith...(Cheyenne pronounced like the capital of Wyoming). Cheyenne is due June 3rd.
We have been in the studio a bunch lately. I've been doing quite a few overdubs for various
artists, as well as trying to finish up a couple projects of my own. I'll have some pictures posted, in
the coming weeks, in our site gallery of our progress in the studio. Everything is shaping up nicely.
I'll also be posting more info about the projects in the coming weeks.
My family and I were in Texarkana, TX the last weekend in March. We spent four wonderful
days with The Dwight Wilson family and the Darren Faulknor family. Dwight Wilson is pastor and
Darren Faulknor is Minister of Music.
Their church, Texarkana Church of God of the Union Assembly, hosted my very first solo concert, last
year, on Easter Sunday of 2008 (3-23-08). Pastor Dwight and Darren so graciously had us back to
celebrate our first year of solo ministry. Dwight and Susie Wilson, as always, treated us so good.
There was an excitement in the air at their house while we visited...And in the words of Susie Wilson,
"It felt like Christmas!" Susie prepared a wonderful breakfast for us, (my dad and brother, Christina,
Chanler, Alton Faulknor and myself). We then spent the evening with Darren & Nikki Faulknor.
Once again, we were treated like royalty. Darren smoked chicken and pork tenderloin all day. On
top of that, Nikki and the girls had made BBQ beans, potato salad, sweet tea, (Not to mention Susie's
world famous Coco Lopez dessert!)...Hhhmmm, that kind of eating we'll make you want to slap
somebody! Well, maybe not slap somebody...but pinch 'em real hard. Ha! We had a feast! Special
thanks and hello to the Wilson and Faulknor Families; Dwight, Susie, Dadrian, San, Las, Michelle,
Logan, Lauren, Mike, Darren, Nikki & Jordan.
We did the morning service and a concert in the evening service. In the morning service, I led
worship with several songs. The pastor had asked me to speak also. I shared my heart for a few
minutes and led into an invitation. God's convicting power came down as several people came
down to rededicate their lives to the Lord. The special moment of the day came as the pastor's
brother, Mike Wilson, came down and gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ. He was gloriously saved!
Mike is 57 years old. I shared that to say this...God's arm of mercy is extended to everyone.
Isaiah 59:1 says, "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save". It's extended to the
young, the old, to the prideful and the humble. It reaches the black, the white, male & female. I thank
God that He saves not only boys and girls, but grandmas and grandpas as well! The twenty six
verses, in Psalm 136, end with, "For His mercy endureth forever". I thank God for these truths!
I'd also like to say a very special thank you to Trammell Suddeth and Dr. David Kitchens for having us
at Carolyn Baptist Church in March. We had a wonderful Sunday evening service together. They treated
my crew and me so kindly. Thanks to everyone at Carolyn! Also, special thanks goes to a close friend of
mine, Philip Hare, at Macedonia Baptist in Dawnville, GA. Philip is Macedonia's Worship Pastor and a dear
man of God. Thank you Philip! In February, we spent a very special day with another dear friend of ours,
Robert Richardson. Robert serves as Minister of Music at Holly Creek Baptist in Chatsworth, GA. We led
worship Sunday morning and did a concert in the evening service. I'll never forget this evening, as God's
presence was very apparent during the invitation. As Robert was giving one last call and challenge, a holy
hush fell as we could sense God was working in hearts and lives. I'll never forget that moment Robert, thank
you! Here's a link to our Photo Gallery to check out some pics from most of these nights...

Thanks for letting me share some highlights of the last three months. It has been a joy seeing ya'll
in our concerts and services. God has truly done some amazing things. Make sure to visit our website,
(www.channingeleton.com), for more info. Also, make sure to visit our 'PHOTOS' section often as we try
to keep stuff up from our concerts and family outings.
God bless you all until next time!

P.S. We've had several of you call or write asking us how you can help with the arrival of our new baby. We've even had some asking about throwing a baby shower or two. What would bless and help us the most would be diapers...and lots of them! Ha! Our close friends, Hank & Veronica Coyle, have so graciously offered to take care of a diaper shower for anyone who would like to bless us with diapers, (an online diaper shower, if you will).
Here's Veronica's address if you would like to send diapers:
