"Easter Sunday"

I want to say a special thanks to Pastor Dwight Wilson and his dear wife, Susie, for such a special Easter weekend. First of all, the bus rolled into Texarkana around 7 PM. We were warmly welcomed by the Wilson Family. Let me tell you, they rolled out the red carpet for us. There was a wonderful meal, from Johnny Carrino's Country Italian, awaiting our arrival. I guess the thing that I most noticed, is that I felt God's presence the moment I walked into the Wilson home. We not only got to spend the evening with Dwight and Susie, but their youngest son Dadrian and his wife San were there for some great fellowship. Dadrian is not only a great friend, but a great musician as well.

Sunday morning started with some great pre-service music from the Texarkana Church Band. They turned the service over to us. My dad, being along with me, played a song to start things off. I then did a few songs, singing and playing with the band. Just before the message, I felt led to lead the people in worship with the great Resurrection song, 'There Rose A Lamb'. It was definitely one of those moments I'll never forget. The people started singing along and worshipping God. You knew without a doubt that the Holy Son of God had just walked into the room. Pastor Dwight went on to preach a wonderful Easter message with conviction.

We went back to the Wilson home for an absolute spread that Susie had prepared. We were joined by my friend from way back Las and Michelle Wilson. Las is Dwight & Susie's oldest son. Las is not only a great guitarist, but serves as the church's Assistant Pastor. Christina loved getting to hangout with Susie, San & Michelle.

It was tough saying goodbye to this precious family. We did not want to leave! It's a weekend we'll never forget!
