"Christina Eleton's Testimony of Healing"
Hey Everybody,
Just wanted to say hello and share what has been going on with us the past few weeks.
Not many of you know that this past December I had a miscarriage. Since then I have had a few health problems which led to a nagging pain in my side and back. I really felt like I needed to be checked out, so I went to see my doctor.
I don't think I have ever been to the doctor so much as I have the past few weeks. It all started with my regular doctor sending me to a hernia specialist about a month ago. The specialist said it sounded like gall bladder problems to him. He sent me to have an ultrasound and another test for gall stones. The test come back clear for my gall bladder. He then wanted me to go for a CT Scan to rule out hernia.
This was on a Monday. After the test, I got a call a few hours later from the doctor's office. The nurse told me they found a 5.5 cm, (golf ball size), mass on my right ovary. She told me I needed to see my gynecologist as soon as possible. It really scared me at first. Channing and I decided to only tell our parents. We began to pray that the Lord would heal me. We kept asking Him to just amaze us and to amaze the doctors. We just kept believing and quoting Isaiah 41:10 ''Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'' This verse gave me peace and assurance that everything was going to be just fine.
Wednesday I went in for an abdominal ultrasound so my doctor could investigate further. During the ultrasound, the administering nurse kept marking X's on different areas of the screen. I asked her if she was seeing more than the one mass. She said, "Honey I am not even seeing the one. It is gone, I don't know what has happened." I told her I do! I knew exactly what had happened. God had healed me. The next day my gynecologist called me to go over the results and she told me that she wanted me to come in again to do a different ultrasound to get a better look. She said, "Something is strange here, the CT Scan shows it was there and now the ultrasound shows it is no longer there. The tests do not match up we need to look at it again." So I went in on the following Tuesday and they did a third and different kind of ultrasound. The doctor confirmed, once again, it was gone. In fact, she said, "I can see where something had been, but it is definitely not there now."
She said I could go for another CT Scan but she did not see any reason to.
She told me that the ladies that did the ultrasounds are the best in Chattanooga. I told her that I did not want to go for further testing because I knew the Lord had healed me. I think it was really neat because she told me I had been the topic of discussion with all the other doctors and nurses.
So, Praise the Lord, I have been healed. I am so thankful. It was worth it all just to be a witness and encouragement to the doctors and hopefully many more that I share this story with. It definitely increased my own faith and I would not take anything for the sweet encounters that I have had with the Lord through it all. His presence was just so strong through it all and He gave me an overwhelming peace that everything was going to be ok.
Channing and Chanler have been so sweet. I am so blessed to have them in my life. There were so many times they laid their hands on my stomach and prayed for me. There is nothing like getting down on your knees as a family and praying together. There is nothing more important to me than that! God is so amazing! If we seek Him every day, in the good and in the bad, He will be there for us to answer our prayers.
This journey has been an awesome experience of feeling His presence and a time of really increasing our faith.
To God be the Glory!
